Generated schedules

Tourny can build your whole schedule for you. You set the game lengths and the time slots your venues are available, and Tourny fits every game in. You can then fine-tune the result with drag and drop.

How to generate a schedule

  1. Make sure you've added your venues.
  2. Open the Manage tab and select Schedule.
  3. Choose Assigned courts & times (the label matches your sport, e.g. fields or diamonds) and confirm.
  4. Click Manage schedule to open the schedule editor.
  5. Click Generate and set the game length for each round.
  6. Click Add time slot for each block of time games can be played, for example Friday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM for pool play and Saturday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM for playoffs.
  7. In each time slot, choose which spaces are used. Click the gear icon (⚙️) on a space to limit it to specific categories, rounds, or pools.
  8. Click Generate schedule and review the result.
  9. Adjust games by dragging and dropping them in the calendar view, or edit times directly in the list view.
  10. Click Save.

Generated schedule FAQs

Q: Can I change the schedule after it has been generated?

A: Yes, you can edit the schedule at any time. Generate a new schedule, drag and drop games in the calendar view, or edit times manually in the list view.

Q: Can I specify what games should be scheduled at each venue?

A: Yes. When generating a schedule, open a time slot and click the gear icon (⚙️) on a space (court, field, etc.). There you can choose the categories, rounds, or pools that should be scheduled in that space. For example, pool A on Diamond 1 and pool B on Diamond 2.

Q: How do participants see the schedule?

A: Open the Schedule tab in your event's sidebar to see exactly what participants see.
